J.M. Allain joined Trans-Lux as President & Chief Executive Officer in February of 2010. Mr. Allain has a background in global systems integration, marketing and sales management for enterprises ranging from start-ups to multi-national companies. He has established experience in a number of technology-driven industries, including data communications and telecommunications.Mr. Allain holds an MBA in International Trade and Finance, as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Systems Engineering.
Bob Conologue has joined the Trans-Lux Team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Bob brings a strong public accounting career foundation as well as extensive experience in executive management and in the role of Chief Financial Officer for a variety of industries. Most recently he has served as Chief Financial Officer for Utrecht Art Supplies and prior to that he worked at Twinlab Corporation in the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.Bob earned a Bachelor’s degree from Wilkes University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
Alberto Shaio is Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Trans-Lux Corporation. Mr. Shaio manages Trans-Lux’s operations and organizational development, focusing on performance management to shape the company for continued success and strategic growth. Mr. Shaio currently sits on the Trans-Lux Corporation Board of Directors. With nearly 40 years of experience managing companies and divisions of companies, Mr. Shaio has earned a reputation as a well-respected executive known for achieving high levels of profitability. He previously served as President and CEO of Craftsman Industries, a leading manufacturer of mobile marketing and outdoor exhibits for the experiential marketing industry. And also served as President and CEO of Farrel Corporation, a privately held company that manufactures process equipment for the plastics industry.
Alex has played an instrumental role in driving numerous branding efforts for both evolving and blue-chip companies on the client, broadcast and agency sides of the business while successfully achieving high-impact business objectives across myriad business channels. Additionally, Alex has extensive experience in formulating corporate consulting, experiential and strategic partnerships. Alex started his career in sales and marketing working at News Corporation and its then upstart, Fox Sports and its home entertainment business units. While working at One-On-One Sports Radio Network, Alex helped reposition the business operation and initiated the sale of the unit to a prominent sports publisher. Gaining retail experience as Director of Promotions at Foot Locker Worldwide and its Foot, Lady and Kids brands, Alex jump-started its then struggling athletic business by engaging strategic marketing partners that resulted in over $250 million in incremental sales revenue. Prior to joining Trans-Lux, Alex consulting practice within Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment servicing brands such as DirecTV, MetLife, Pepsi, NBTY, Ford and others.
Dave Pavlik brings years of experience in municipal finance, management and public policy. Notable positions include Illinois State Budget Manager where he oversaw the budgets, headcount and legislative initiatives for over 2 dozen agency budgets, including over $20 billion in total funding and more than 15,000 state employees. Prior to this he was the Deputy Director of the Illinois Department of Transportation – overseeing large asset infrastructure valuation, development of public private partnership guidelines and the management of public/intermodal transportation operations statewide. He has also served as Policy Director for the Illinois Division of Banking. He has also advised numerous private equity firms, venture capital funds and investment banks on complex regulatory initiatives.
Todd Dupee is responsible for overseeing the company’s Accounting functions. He joined Trans-Lux in 1994 and has held various staff and management positions before being named Controller.Mr. Dupee earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley College.
Jay A. Forlenzo is responsible for the Company’s lease and maintenance portfolio. He joined Trans-Lux in 1984 and has held several positions of increasing responsibility within holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration.
Jane Bauer is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources function of Trans-Lux, promoting organizational excellence in support of the Company’s goals and objectives. Since joining the company in 1997, Ms. Bauer has served in roles of increasing responsibility within the HR Department including that of Specialist and Human Resources Manager.Ms. Bauer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the City University of New York.
