Norwalk, CT (September 29, 2010) – Fair-Play by Trans-Lux, a recognized leader in digital signage solutions, today announced that Arkansas City High School has outfitted their new sports stadium with a Fair-Play 20mm LED Large Screen System. The outdoor LED board, model TL-0V20, is designed to engage fans with outstanding live images of the school’s football and soccer games.
“High school sports are enjoyed and followed by the entire community,” said Jeff Reeser National Sales Manager, Fair-Play. “The size, clarity and viewing perspective of the large screen LED board will help enrich the excitement and viewing experience of the dedicated fans.”
The new stadium, home to the Arkansas City High School Bulldogs of Arkansas City, Kansas, is one of a number of upgrades being implemented throughout the school district. The Fair-Play LED Large Screen, measuring 120 x 160 pixels, was installed by Kansas City-based Athco.
The 20mm video display features a brightness level of ?6,000 nits (candela per square meter), which allows the display images to remain clearly visible even with direct sunlight on the screen. And for night games, the board’s contrast ratio of 1500:1 helps to ensure that even the darkest images will be clearly visible to fans. Along with the display’s advanced LED technology and high resolution capability, the 20mm pixel pitch design allows for viewing from the entire length of the football field, with a viewing angle of 110°.
